PPP

Point-to-Point Protocol: a networking standard that enables two computers to communicate via TCP/IP using modems on POTS lines. PPP is the most common method for home computer users to access the World Wide Web. To initiate a PPP connection with your ISP, you must start your Internet Dialer program. If you are using PPP to connect to your MLS, you may use the INETINIT.EXE program to start your Windows 95/NT Internet Dialer and PC Access with just one mouse click.
