PC Access for Windows Reference Guide

for PC Access for Windows 4.30.158

Windows Terminal

A simple terminal emulation (telecommunication) program that comes with Windows versions 3.1x. You can use Terminal to dial up a terminal-oriented remote computer service such as a BBS. Terminal is useful for a "sanity check" if you cannot get PC Access to dial out correctly, and you are not sure whether your modem works.

If you are running a newer version of Windows (such as Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, or 2000), the HyperTerminal program replaces the older Windows Terminal program.

This topic has changed for PC Access 4.30 (Tuesday, June 27, 2000).
