PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access for Windows 4.30.158Host Feature: Selectable Lists(Maestro System) The host may send you a screen containing a list of selectable items (for example, a "1-Line View" listing). With these lists, you may highlight and select items (two separate actions). When you highlight an item, the host marks it by moving a highlight bar over the item. When you select an item, the host marks it by displaying an "X" to the left of the item. (You can usually highlight only one item at a time, but the host may allow you to select multiple items.) PC Access lets you highlight and select with the mouse: · The mouse pointer changes to a hand symbol when you move it over a selectable item that is not highlighted. Clicking the left mouse button causes the host to move the highlight bar to that item. · The mouse pointer changes to a combination of the hand and a checkmark when you move it over the currently highlighted item. Clicking the left mouse button then causes the host to select that item. ¨ Note: Because PC Access must rely on the host to position the highlight bar, you must wait for the host to move the highlight bar to your selected entry before you select another. Failing to wait will cause the highlight bar to move to undesired locations. Double-clicking the left mouse button when the pointer is over a selectable item combines the above two steps, selecting the item immediately.
