PC Access for Windows Reference Guide

for PC Access for Windows 4.30.158

How do I create a flyer sheet?

A flyer sheet (or feature sheet) contains a property listing, usually in a nice format. You can create your own custom flyer sheets using PC Access and almost any Windows word processor (including Windows Write).

  1. Start your word processing program by double-clicking its Program Manager icon.

  2. Temporarily inactivate your word processor and return to the Program Manager. You can do this by pressing Alt-Tab one or more times, or by pressing Ctrl-Esc and selecting Program Manager from the Task List window. You may also click on any part of the Program Manager window, if it is visible.

  3. Start PC Access by double-clicking its Program Manager icon.

  4. Login to your MLS and look up the property listing.

  5. Using your MLS commands, display the listing information in the PC Access Terminal window.

  6. When you have a screen of listing information, click the Edit | Copy Text menu item on the Terminal window.

  7. Activate your word processor by pressing Alt-Tab one or more times, or by pressing Ctrl-Esc and selecting it from the Task List window. You may also click on any part of your word processor's window, if it is visible.

  8. Select your word processor's paste command from its Edit menu, or press Shift-Insert. The listing information you copied to the Windows clipboard in step (6) should appear in your word processor.

  9. If your listing contains additional text you need to copy, activate PC Access and return to step (5).

  10. If your MLS provides photos, activate PC Access and display a photo for your listing with the appropriate MLS command. (If you are using a Master System or Maestro System, you may click the Photo button on the Terminal window.)

  11. Move your mouse pointer over the photo and right-click your mouse to display the Photo Commands Speed Menu.

  12. Select Copy to Clipboard.

  13. Return to step (7) to paste the photo into your word processor. (If you are using Windows Write as your word processor, you may get odd results from pasting a color photo. You can copy a color photo from PC Access to the Windows Clipboard in black-and-white format by using the Adjust Photo window. Check the B&W Only box on the Adjust Photo window and click the Copy button.)

  14. Once you have copied all the listing information you need, use your word processor's commands to format and print your flyer sheet.
