PC Access for Windows Reference Guide

for PC Access for Windows 4.30.158

Internet Setup Window: Default Mail Server

Enter the hostname or numerical I.P. address of your Internet SMTP e-mail server. If you do not know what to type in this field, ask your ISP.

If you enter an Internet SMTP e-mail server in this field, you may leave the My Internet Mail Server field blank on the E-Mail Setup window. This is useful if you are the system administrator for an Office/Broker version or Network version copy of PC Access. Since all the agents who share that copy probably use the same e-mail server, you can enter it once here. To override the default for a particular agent, enter a different e-mail server on the E-Mail Setup window for that agent.

· Agent version and Office/Broker version copies of PC Access store the value of this field in the DefaultMailServer entry in the [Internet] section in the PCAWIN.INI file.

· Network version copies of PC Access store the value of this field in the DefaultMailServer entry in the [Internet] section in the PCAWSHRD.INI file.

Setup item classification:

· Parent window: Internet Setup

· Setup item type: Advanced

· Who specifies: You

· Importance: Optional
