PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access for Windows 4.30.158Line SettingsAll telecommunication software packages need you to tell them about several parameters the remote system expects. You don't have to understand what these mean; you only need to make sure you know what the remote system wants them to be. If you can't find out what they should be when you call up a remote system for the first time, you may have to experiment until you find the combination that works. These line settings are: data bits, parity, stop bits, and duplex.
