PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access for Windows 4.30.158Maestro Page Size Does Not ChangeWhen you connect to a Maestro System MLS, the MLS asks PC Access to tell it the length of a printable page. PC Access returns a value to the MLS which accounts for your current page headers and page footer settings. The MLS then uses this page length for formatting host reports during the rest of your online session. The MLS provides no way for PC Access to tell it a new printable page length. For example, you might change your page headers and/or page footer settings while you are online, but the MLS will continue to use the printable page length PC Access reported when you first logged on. You may find that some reports don't format well when you have enabled page headers and/or a page footer, because the headers and footer use up too much vertical space. To fix this problem, you must disable page headers and/or the page footer on the Edit Agent window before you go online. · VISTAinfo has released a patch for Maestro systems that corrects this problem. With this patch, your Maestro MLS will ask PC Access for the length of a printable page at the start of every host report. This way, if you change printers or your page headers while you are online, your Maestro MLS will take the new page length into account while formatting its next report. If your host reports do not adapt to your page length changes while you are online in the Terminal window, call your MLS provider and ask whether they have installed this patch.
