Slide Show: Command-line Options

· This topic is for advanced users only.

The Slide Show Accessory provides two command line options. These are not available to you when you start the Slide Show Accessory from the Accessories Menu window or from the Terminal window.

· -Aagent_ID: Use this command line option to tell the Slide Show Accessory that a particular agent is running it. You must follow -A option immediately with your Agent ID, with no intervening spaces. This is useful if you have saved one or more slide show files in your Home Directory during a previous run of PC Access. When you open a slide show file, the Open Slide Show File window will show the slide show files in the Home Directory of the agent whose ID you specified.

· -T: Use this command line option to tell the Slide Show Accessory to write a trace file in your executable directory. The trace file name is SLDTRACE.TXT. It contains information that may assist a technical support representative if you have a severe problem with the Slide Show Accessory.

To modify the command line of your Slide Show icon in Windows 3.1x, single-click it to make it your current icon in the Program Manager. Select File | Properties from the Program Manager menu, or press Alt-Enter, to open the Program Item Properties dialog. Click on the Command Line: field to make it current. Enter the command-line option(s) you need to the right of the name of the Slide Show executable file, with a space between the file name and the first option. If you need to use both options, separate them by a space. For example: -T -A380900
