PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access Version 4.30![]()
Internal modemA modem which connects directly to a computer's bus by plugging into an expansion slot. An internal modem is usually cheaper than an external modem of the same make and rating, and it doesn't require a serial cable. However, an internal modem may be less reliable than a comparable external modem, because it may contain an emulated UART. You can compensate for some of these problems by selecting the appropriate form of flow control in PC Access.
