Write ProtectedA write-protected data storage medium is one with an interlock mechanism that prevents a computer from writing new data to the medium or erasing existing data on the medium.
To write on a 3.5" diskette, you must push the write-protect tab into the closed position. That is, when you look at the diskette from the front, you should not be able to see
