MLS Setup: Telnet Force 8 BitChecking this box on the MLS Setup (TCP/IP Tab) window tells PC Access to negotiate an 8-bit binary telnet session with the host you specify in the Host Name or IP Address field. Whether you should check this box depends on your Emulation setting and possibly on the kind of computer that runs your MLS. (You may need to contact your MLS provider to determine what kind of computer runs your MLS.) · If your Emulation is Maestro, the general rule is that you should not check this box. ¨ If your Maestro MLS runs on a Sun Microsystems host computer, you should not check this box. ¨ If your Maestro MLS runs on an HP 9000 host computer, the setting of this box will not matter. · If your Emulation is Compass you should check this box no matter what host computer runs your MLS. This checkbox only has an effect if you selected TCP - telnet as your Connection Method.
