PickTry the Modem Wizard before selecting a modem via the Pick button. Copying a modem setup from the Windows Registry with the Modem Wizard is more likely to yield a working modem setup in PC Access. If the Modem Wizard cannot find a suitable modem setup for you, click the Pick button to display the Modem Selection window. It contains a list of modems for which PC Access has settings. If you find your particular brand of modem in the list, select it. When you do, these advanced modem setup fields will automatically update: Dial Command, Reset Command, and Default Initialize Command. If your modem is not on the list, select the Generic V.32 & V.32bis entry. · Note: most modems work fine with the Generic V.32 & V.32bis entry. If you get an error initializing your modem when you click the Test button, try choosing the Generic V.32 & V.32bis entry and click the Test button again. · On the other hand, some modems require a special Initialize Command to enable necessary features like hardware flow control. If you can find your modem on the list, you should select it.
