Dial Command

The Modem Wizard is usually the simplest way to obtain an appropriate value for this setup item.

If your modem uses "Hayes" commands (most modems do), the dial commands are:

· ATDT if you have touch-tone dialing.

· ATDP if you have pulse (rotary) dialing.

· ATD if you have an ISDN modem and you are dialing an ISDN modem at your MLS directly. (This only applies when you select Use Modem for your Connection Method on the MLS Setup (General Tab) window. If you are using an ISDN modem or router with another Connection Method such as TCP-telnet or TCP-rlogin, your TCP/IP software is responsible for establishing your ISDN connection and PC Access ignores your Dial Command setting.)

Do not type a phone number in this field.

Setup item classification:

· Parent window: Modem Setup

· Setup item type: Advanced

· Who specifies: You

· Importance: Necessary
