Shared Path for Data FilesThe Shared Path for Data files field controls where PC Access looks for the following files: · PCAWIN.AGT, the file that stores your Agent Setup; · PCAWIN.PBK, the file that stores your Phone Book Setup; · SHARED.INI, the file that stores settings common to all network version copies of PC Access on your network; · ACCESS.CTL, the file that controls file-locking for PCAWIN.AGT and PCAWIN.PBK. Guidelines for using this field: · If you are not running PC Access on a networked computer, you should leave this field containing its default value of "." which stands for the PC Access current directory. · If you are not running PC Access on a networked computer, you may enter the name of a directory where your copy of PC Access will look for the above files. When you first install a workstation copy of a network version of PC Access, the Shared Path will be the directory on your network server where your system administrator installed PC Access. · You may also edit this field manually to cause two or more non-network versions of PC Access running on a network to share a single set of the above files.
