PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access Version 4.30![]() ![]() ![]()
Internet Setup Window: Internet AccessThis radio button group on the Internet Setup window controls how PC Access expects your computer to access the Internet: · Use LAN to Access the Internet: if you connect to the Internet by a method other than a modem that you dial from your computer, for example by a LAN connection to an Internet router, select this radio button. Selecting this radio button has only one effect: when you try to use an Internet feature in PC Access, PC Access assumes your computer already connects to the Internet. Thus PC Access does not attempt to connect your PC to the Internet by a method such as Dial-Up Networking . · Use Dial-Up Networking to Access the Internet: select this radio button if you access the Internet by dialing into an Internet Service Provider via a modem that connects directly to your computer. If you select this radio button, PC Access will connect your computer to the Internet via Dial-Up Networking whenever necessary for you to use an Internet feature in PC Access. When you select this, the remaining items on the Internet Setup window become editable. Setup item classification: · Parent window: Internet Setup · Setup item type: Advanced · Who specifies: You · Importance: Optional This topic is new for PC Access 4.30 (Wednesday, December 16, 1998).
