PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access Version 4.30![]() ![]() ![]()
Terminal Window: Edit Menu· Copy Text: Click this menu item to copy the current text in the Terminal window to the Windows Clipboard. (Before you click this menu item, you may drag your mouse on the Terminal window to highlight text for copying. If you have not highlighted any text, clicking this menu item copies all the text in the Terminal window.) After you copy text to the Windows Clipboard, you can paste it into many other Windows applications and edit it. ¨ If the Terminal window contains any line-drawing characters, PC Access converts them to the closest matching ASCII characters. You can control this with the mapLineDraw entry in the [Defaults] section of PCAWIN.INI. To stop PC Access from converting line-drawing characters, change this line to: mapLineDraw=0. · Paste Text: Click this menu item to paste text from the Windows Clipboard to the current cursor position in the Terminal window. If the Windows Clipboard does not contain any text, this menu item is gray and unselectable. This menu item is useful for re-entering text from the Scroll Back window, other parts of the Terminal window, or another application without having to re-type it. Be sure the text you want to paste constitutes valid input for your host. For example, if your host has just prompted you to enter an MLS number, you could copy an MLS number to the Clipboard from elsewhere and paste it into the Terminal window as your response to the current host command.
