Save Photo Window

The Save Photo window appears when you press the Save button on the Photo Commands speed menu, or the Save button on the Adjust Photo window. This window is a standard file selector. Use the Save File as Type: combo box to specify the file format you want to save. You may select from Windows BMP, TIFF, Paintbrush PCX, CompuServe GIF, Targa, WordPerfect, PostScript EPS, JPEG-JFIF, or Macintosh picture formats. Almost every Windows word processor or paint program can import files in at least one of these formats.

The Save Photo window shows you all the photo files of your currently selected format in your current directory. (You probably created these files by saving them earlier in PC Access or the Slide Show Editor Accessory.) You may pick one of these files by clicking on it with the mouse, or you may type in a new file name in the File Name field.

If you select an existing photo file, the program overwrites it with the current photo you are saving. Since this destroys the photo already in that file, the program warns you with a dialog before overwriting an existing photo.

· Note: saving a photo to a file is the most straightforward way to use it later on your computer, or to send it to another computer. However, if you want to insert the photo into another Windows application immediately, it's usually easier to copy the photo to the Windows Clipboard and paste it into the other application. You can copy the photo to the Clipboard from the Photo Commands speed menu.
