Upgrading Your Modem
Usually you will only connect one modem to your computer at a time. If you want to replace your existing modem with a faster modem, you should disconnect your existing modem before connecting the new one. If your existing modem is an internal modem, you (or a technician) should remove it from your computer before you connect your new modem.
