Script Language Overview

PC Access allows the user to develop an automated procedure for PC Access to follow while on-line. Currently, a script can only send text, wait to receive data from the host, and branch to other parts of a script according to data arriving from the host.

· Not a supported feature: MFM Communication Software provides no support for script files that you write. If you write script files for PC Access, you are on your own. If you have no previous experience with programming languages, you will probably not be able to write a script file.

¨ In the unlikely event that you get a script file error while running a script file you received with your copy of PC Access, follow the instructions for an Internal Error.

· The most common application for a script file is to automate your login to a host.

· PC Access can also record script files containing your commands and host responses during an online session. This lets you automate procedures you need to perform repeatedly on a host

· You can define a Speed Button on the Terminal window to play a script file at any time during an online session.

· PC Access has a script debugging mode.
