Overview: PC Access without a Mouse
If you prefer, you can use keyboard commands instead of a mouse for most features in PC Access. (However, the vast majority of computers that run Windows have a mouse or other pointing device, and you will find it more convenient for many operations. If you are unfamiliar with using a mouse, you should run the Windows Tutorial.)
· Use the Tab key to highlight an object in a window. The Tab key highlights the next object in a window, and the Shift-Tab key highlights the previous object. To make another window current, press Alt-F6. To select the system button (if any) on the current window, press Alt-spacebar. (The system button is a small square in the upper left corner of a window. Selecting it pulls down a menu with commands for manipulating the window.) Also, any underlined letter on a window object in the current window is a hot key. You can select the object by holding down the Alt key while you press the hot key.
· Moving a window with the keyboard: If you don't have a mouse, you can move a window by selecting its system button (press Alt-spacebar). Select Move, and press the arrow keys (¬®¯) to move the window outline where you want it. Press the Enter key to leave the window in its new location.
