Reset User Authorization WindowThe Reset User Authorization window appears when you click the Reset button on the User Authorization Manager window. This window can also appear when a technical support representative instructs you to enter special commands. You should only open this window when a technical support representative instructs you to. Tell the Serial Number and Validation Code to the support representative. · Warning: it is vitally important for you to convey the Serial Number and Validation Code to your support representative with perfect accuracy. · If you are talking to the representative on the telephone, have the representative read these numbers back to you so you can check them against the Reset User Authorization window. When the support representative gives you the corresponding Reset Code, read it back to the representative after you enter it on the window. When the support representative confirms that you entered it correctly, click the OK button. · If you are corresponding with the support representative in e-mail, check these values carefully before you send the message. When the support representative sends a Reset Code to you, check it carefully after you enter it on the window before you click the OK button. · Warning: Every time you open the Reset User Authorization window, the Validation Code will be different. The technical support representative will generate a Reset Code corresponding specifically to the Serial Number and Validation Code that you report to him or her. If you have to reopen the Reset User Authorization window before you are able to enter the Reset Code (for example, if your computer crashed or your power went off while you were waiting for the support representative to reply), then you have to start over by reporting the new Validation Code to the support representative. · Additional warning: Do not attempt to guess a Reset Code. If you type an invalid Reset Code you risk becoming permanently locked out of your copy of PC Access. This topic is new for PC Access 4.30.
