PC Access for Windows Reference Guidefor PC Access Version 4.30![]() ![]() ![]()
Register PC Access WindowThe Register PC Access window appears the first time you run PC Access. Ordinarily this happens automatically when you install PC Access. This window requires you to enter information that PC Access uses to register your copy and validate your user license. Type the appropriate information in each field. When you finish a field, you can select the next field with the mouse, or by pressing the Tab key. Several fields on this window are mandatory. If you press the Enter key or click the OK button before you have finished filling out all the mandatory fields, PC Access warns you to fill them out before proceeding. If you are not ready to complete the fields on this window when you first install PC Access, you can click the Cancel button. If you do, the next time you run PC Access the Register PC Access window will appear again. Fill in the Register PC Access window with correct information. If you are unsure about any of the information, click the Cancel button and run PC Access again later when you have all the information you need. When you finish, click the OK button. PC Access writes your Registration Information to a license file (PCAWIN.LIC) in your PC Access executable directory. Note: you cannot edit the license file directly after you create it. · Remember: Once you click the OK button on the Register PC Access window, the information on the window is permanently in your license file! Changing your registration later requires using up one of your user authorization install counts, so be sure you have typed your Registration Information correctly before clicking the OK button. · Some of the Registration Information will appear on the Main Menu window, but it will not appear in any reports you print from PC Access. Therefore, even if some of your Registration Information changes in the future (for example, you take a job with a new company), your copy of PC Access will still be perfectly functional. · Your Registration Information becomes a permanent part of your copy of PC Access because PC Access is not relicensable. That is, when you purchase a license to install and use PC Access, that license belongs to you only, and you may never transfer it to another person. Your license file also constitutes your proof of ownership of your copy of PC Access; this may be helpful if you require technical support. More:
