Overview: New Features in PC Access 4.00PC Access for Windows version 4.00 and later provides several benefits over the DOS version (PC Access 3.00). The following list of features appeared first in version 4.00. For additional new features, see the lists for versions 4.10/4.20 and version 4.30. · PC Access for Windows takes advantage of all your computer's memory, not just the first 640 KB available to DOS programs. This makes PC Access for Windows faster and more reliable than PC Access for DOS. · Preparing your computer to run PC Access for Windows is simpler. If you are already running Windows, you can probably run PC Access for Windows without having to edit your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files or load a VESA driver. If you are already printing from other Windows applications, you should be able to print from PC Access for Windows immediately. · The online help is superior, with features you expect in Windows help, such as embedded hypertext jumps and popup definitions. The online help also has screen shots of many windows in PC Access. To help you solve many common problems, we've expanded the troubleshooting topics, and new topics explain most of the error messages PC Access reports. · PC Access for Windows has enhanced message reporting. You can instantly obtain help for most PC Access messages. This lets you fix many common problems yourself without having to call a technical support representative. If you do have to call for support, you'll have better information to guide the support representative to a faster diagnosis. · Faster print speed. PC Access for Windows prints reports containing photos about twice as fast as PC Access for DOS. If you print via the Windows Print Manager , you can print in the background. This means you don't have to wait to finish printing to give new commands to PC Access, so printing will "feel" even faster to you. (You use the Windows Print Manager by default, unless you deactivate it via the Windows Control Panel.) · PC Access for Windows lets you take full advantage of your printer. Many color printers deliver much better print and color quality than was possible with PC Access for DOS. · PC Access for Windows can create a text file showing your current program setup. You can print this file and save it for future reference in case you need to re-install PC Access. If you have a problem running PC Access, you can also upload your setup report file to a technical support representative. · Automatic script file recording. PC Access for Windows lets you create script files more easily. The script language is more capable, and complete documentation is now available. · Better data export. PC Access for Windows lets you share information with other Windows applications. You can copy text or text and photos from the Terminal window to the Windows clipboard; you can copy a photo to the clipboard; and you can save a photo to many industry standard file formats. · The Terminal window is now resizable. PC Access for Windows runs well on a wide range of display sizes and resolutions, from low-resolution laptops up to workstation-class monitors. · The new Setup Assistant allows most users to set up PC Access as simply as possible, while the Advanced Setup provides maximum flexibility when you need it. · Quick Connect lets you set up PC Access to call your MLS immediately after you start the program (Agent version) or select yourself as the current agent (Office/Broker version).
