The PC Access for Windows 4.30 CD-ROM comes with the PDF version of the PC Access
for Windows Reference Guide. The PDF version, contains the same content as
the on-line help in PC Access itself and in the
HTML version.
You can use the PDF version to read and print pages from the PC Access
for Windows Reference Guide.
When you installed PC Access, you also installed the PDF version of the Reference
Guide to your computer’s hard disk. You need Adobe Acrobat
Reader to view the PDF file.

installed Adobe Acrobat Reader and you would like instructions on how to
view the PC Access for Windows Reference Guide in PDF format, see:

- Note: if you are interested in a printed version of the
Reference Guide, we recommend you order it. You could
use the PDF file to print the entire Reference Guide. However, if
you factor in the cost of the amount of paper and toner required to print
the entire PDF file, it is less expensive to order the Reference Guide. To

Before you can view the PC Access for Windows Reference Guide in PDF format,
you need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Follow the instructions below to see of you have Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed on your computer.
- Click Start | Programs.
- If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you will see Acrobat Reader
in your list of programs.
- If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, see:
Viewing the Reference Guide PDF.
If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, follow the instructions below to
install it to your computer.
- Insert the PC Access for Windows CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
- From the Installation Menu click Install Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to install Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- At the end of the installation, Adobe will display the README.TXT
file. This file contains information on using Acrobat.
Click File | Exit to close the file.
After you install Acrobat Reader, you can view
PC Access for Windows Reference Guide in PDF format. see:

You can use the PDF version to read and print pages from the PC Access
for Windows Reference Guide.
- Note: you need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the
PC Access for Windows Reference Guide

Follow the instructions below to view the PC Access for Windows Reference Guide.

- Click Start | Programs |
PC Access for Windows.
- From the PC Access program group, click
PC Access Reference Guide - PDF version.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader opens the PC Access Reference Guide.
- You can navigate through the Reference Guide in the following ways:
- click on a topic's hyperlink in the Bookmark tab.
You can also click the plus sign to open a topic's sub-menu or the minus sign
to close a sub-menu.
- you can use the VCR-style buttons on the toolbar.
- you can use the Scroll bar on the right side of the window.
- you can click on one of the arrow buttons at the bottom left of the
window.
- to display each page of the Reference Guide, click on the
Thumbnails tab. You can click on the page number
you would like to display in the Acrobat Reader window.
- Here are a few more tips:
- you can click the Zoom In button on the toolbar
to get a closer look at a page.
- if you would like to find a particular word or phrase, click
Edit | Find. In the Find
window, type the word or phrase you are looking for and click
Find. Adobe Acrobat Reader will find each instance of the
word or phrase you typed.
Follow the instructions below to print one or more pages from
the PC Access for Windows Reference Guide
PDF file.
- Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the
PC Access for Windows Reference Guide.
- Click File | Print.
- In the Print Range group on the Print window,
select one of the following radio buttons:
- Current Page: this will print the page you are
viewing.
- Pages From: enter the starting and ending page
numbers to you want to print.
- After you make your selection, click OK to print.
- Note: if you print a page with an image, the quality of the
image will depend on your printer and the printer driver it uses.
