If you have difficulty installing PC Access for Windows
4.30 from your PC Access
4.30 CD-ROM,
or if you prefer to install PC Access
4.30 from
3.5" diskettes, follow the instructions below to
Create 4.30 Disks from the 4.30 CD-ROM.
- Note: You will need five blank formatted 3.5" diskettes to
complete the steps below.
- Insert your PC Access for Windows
4.30
CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
- Insert a blank formatted 3.5" diskette into your disk drive.
- Note: Do not use your factory original
Disk 1 in the steps that follow.
- Note: The instructions below assume:
- Your 3.5" disk drive is drive A:\
- Your CD-ROM drive is drive
D:\
- At the MS-DOS Prompt window, type the following command:
XCOPY D:\DISKIMGS\DISK1\*.* A:\
XCOPY D:\DISKIMGS\DISK2\*.* A:\
XCOPY D:\DISKIMGS\DISK3\*.* A:\
XCOPY D:\DISKIMGS\DISK4\*.* A:\
XCOPY D:\DISKIMGS\DISK5\*.* A:\
- Type
EXIT
to close the MS-DOS Prompt window.
- You now have five PC Access for Windows version
4.30 diskettes.
To install PC Access from those diskettes, see:
Installing PC Access from Disk.
- Note: After you use the disks you just created to
install the PC Access program files, PC Access will
prompt you to install your
User Authorization. You must use your factory original PC Access
Disk 1 to install your User Authorization.
Do not use the disk 1 you just created to install your User Authorization.
- Insert the PC Access disk 1 (that you created in step 3)
into your diskette drive.
- Click Start |
Run.
- In the Run window, next to Open: type the following
command:
A:\SETUP.EXE
click OK to begin the installation process.
- Follow the instructions on your screen to install PC Access.
- After the
SETUP.EXE program installs PC Access,
follow the instructions on your screen to install your
User Authorization.
- Note: When you finish installing PC Access from the disks
you just created, PC Access will prompt you to install your
User Authorization.
You must use your factory original PC Access
Disk 1 to install your User Authorization.
Do not use the disk 1 you created in step 3.
