Introduction

If you access a Maestro MLS system and both of the following are true: then you can use PCAPLUS.EXE to e-mail listings and property photos to your clients. For information on using PCAPLUS.EXE see: However, if you cannot use PCAPLUS.EXE for any of the following reasons: then you can use the instructions below to E-mail Listings and Photos to your clients.

E-mail Listings and Photos

If your ISP does not allow third-party programs to access their SMTP mail server; you have a version of PC Access other than PC Access 4.30, you can use your Maestro MLS system to download listings and/or photos, then e-mail the listings and/or photos as e-mail attachments.

Use the instructions below to:

  1. Run PC Access and log in to your Maestro MLS system.
  2. From your Maestro MLS System Main Menu, select Y for Personalize Your System.
    • Note: Your Maestro system may display Your Computer Setup instead of Personalize Your System.
  3. Select Data-Download.
  4. From the Form Type prompt, select the property type you want.
  5. From the Maestro Search window, enter your search criteria.
  6. From the Download prompt, select the listing format you would like to use. For example: Full Listings, Photos, etc.
  7. From the File Transfer prompt, select Zmodem.
  8. From the Download Images prompt, select JPEG.
    • Note: If the JPEG format is not available, select GIF or BMP.
  9. At the Enter a file name prompt, enter a file name. For example: LISTINGS and press Enter.
  10. When Maestro completes the download, log off your MLS system.
  11. Connect to the Internet.
  12. Open an e-mail message window in your e-mail software.
    • Note: If you do not know how to open an e-mail message window, contact your software provider for assistance.
  13. From your e-mail message window, click Attach.
    • Note: If you do not know how to attach files to your e-mail messages, contact your software provider for assistance.
  14. From the attach file window, change directories to your PC Access executable directory, usually C:\PCAWIN . Next, open your home directory.
  15. In your PC Access home directory, you should see:
    • One file that contains the listing text. In the example in Step 9, we used the file name LISTINGS. You would see LISTINGS.XXX.
      • Note: The three digit file extension varies between the different MLS systems. The .XXX in the above example represents the three digit file extension.
    • Several files that contain the listing photos. The file names being with the MLS listing number and have a three digit file extension. In the example in Step 8, we selected JPEG as the format to Download Images in. If you select JPEG you will see file names similar to 698521.JPG.
  16. When you finish attaching the listing and photo files, send the e-mail message to your client.
