Creating a System Properties Report

1. Click Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Information.
2. From the Microsoft System Information window, click File | Export....
3. In the Save As dialog box, select a location to store the file you are about to create. The current location should be:

   C:\

   If it is not, then simply write down the name of your current folder. You'll need to be able to find it again when you send the report file to MFM.

4. From the Save as drop-down menu, select Text Files (*.TXT).
5. In the File name: field, type a file name. You can construct a file name from your first initial and the first seven characters of your last name. For example, if your name is Pat Producer, you would type:

     PPRODUCE.TXT
     

6. Click Save.
7. After you create a Windows 98 System Properties Report, see: Sending your System Properties Report.

Sending your System Properties Report

1. Open your E-mail message window.
   • If you are following these instructions on-line, Click here to open an e-mail message window.
   • If you are reading a printed copy of these instructions, click File | New | Message
     • Note: If your E-mail message window does not have an option to use File | New | Message, contact your software provider if you need assistance opening an E-mail message window.
2. In the body of the message, include:
   • Your name
   • Your E-mail address
   • Describe the problem you are having
   • Your PC Access Build and Version number
3. Click Attach to attach a copy of your Windows 98 System Properties Report to this e-mail message.
   • Note: If your E-mail message window does not have an option to Attach, contact your software provider for assistance.
4. In the To: field type:
   • mfm-techsupport@mfm.com
5. Click Send to send your message and Windows 98 System Properties Report to MFM Technical Support.
