Support Discontinued

Effective January 1, 2000, MFM Communication Software, Inc. no longer supports PC Access for Windows 4.00. MFM stopped selling PC Access for Windows 4.00 several years ago when we introduced PC Access for Windows 4.10. In addition, MFM released PC Access 4.00 before Windows 95 was available, so it was never designed to operate with today's most common operating systems (Windows 95, Windows 98/98SE, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and Windows XP). However, MFM continued to provide technical support for PC Access 4.00 until January 1, 2000.

If you currently use PC Access 4.00 you can continue do so at your own risk. You should keep in mind, however, that MFM will not provide any technical support for the product, so if you have a problem you will have to figure out a solution on your own. We do not recommend using PC Access for Windows 4.00 on a machine that multiple people rely on extensively for their access to the MLS.

MFM will continue to provide technical support for PC Access for Windows 4.10 and later. If you are running PC Access 4.00 MFM strongly recommends that you upgrade to the latest version of PC Access. As of April 10, 2000, the current version of PC Access for Windows is 4.30.158.

Advantages of Upgrading to PC Access 4.30

  • The PC Access for Windows 4.30 Agent version has a total of three (3) Install Counts that allow the licensed user to install PC Access on up to three of their own computers. The PC Access for Windows 4.30 Broker version comes with one (1) Install Count and allows an unlimited number of agents to use the software on a single shared office computer.
  • There is a 5 User and 20 User Network version available.
  • Allows you to e-mail MLS listings to customers via the Internet.
    • NOTE: This feature will only work if your Internet Service Provider (ISP) allows you to access their SMTP mail server. If you access the Internet through AOL or other proprietary services, you cannot send e-mail from the PC Access e-mail accessory. Most true ISPs do allow access to their SMTP mail server.
  • Allows you to log into the MLS system via the Internet instead of dialing into the MLS modems. This lets you simultaneously access the MLS with PC Access and browse the Web with your Web browser.
    • NOTE: Not all MLS systems offer access via the Internet. Check with your local MLS.
  • PC Access 4.30 works on Windows NT 4.0.
  • The built-in Modem Wizard can automatically configure your modem in PC Access.
  • PC Access for Windows 4.30 is available on CD-ROM or disks.
  • PC Access for Windows 4.30 is Year 2000 compliant.
