Installing the PC Access 4.30 Upgrade in Windows 2000 and Windows XPQuick ContentsIntroductionIf you use Windows 2000 or Windows XP and you are installing the PC Access 4.30.154 or earlier Upgrade version, PC Access may be unable to install your User Authorization. When Microsoft released Windows 2000 and Windows XP they changed the underlying Windows file handling routines. This change prevents the User Authorization Manager version 1.45 and earlier from recognizing your original PC Access Disk 1. The problem occurs after you enter the PC Access Upgrade registration code. The User Authorization Manager will prompt you to insert your original PC Access Disk 1. After you insert Disk 1 and click OK, the User Authorization Manager will continually prompt you to insert your original PC Access Disk 1. To correct this problem, you need to Download User Authorization Manager Version 1.46. Download User Auth Manager Version 1.46If you are running Windows 2000 or Windows XP and installing the PC Access 4.30.154 or earlier Upgrade version, you need to download and install the User Authorization Manager version 1.46 before you can complete the upgrade process. Follow the instructions below to download the User Authorization Manager version 1.46.
