Introduction
On occasion, Windows 95 and 98 may not properly set up your printer
in the [PrinterPorts] and
[Devices] sections of the
C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file. If your
printer's WIN.INI setup
is wrong PC Access may exhibit the following
symptoms:
- PC Access is unable to load your Windows default printer
- When you try to manually add your printer using the
Add/Edit Printer window,
the list of available printers does not include
your printer or the list is blank.
If you experience either one of the above problems, see:
Update your Copy of PC Access.
In many instances, PC Access for Windows
4.30.149 (and later) can read incorrect
[PrinterPorts] and
[Devices] sections of the
C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file.
If you are running an older version of PC Access for Windows, consider
updating or
upgrading to version
4.30.151
to correct this problem.
[PrinterPorts] and/or
[Devices] sections of the
C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file are severely
corrupted, PC Access version 4.30.151
may be unable to correct this problem. If
version 4.30.151
does not correct your problem, you may need to Uninstall and Reinstall your
Windows Printer Driver.
The PC Access
Update Wizard will help you determine if you need to
update or
upgrade to version
4.30.151.
If updating or
