Introduction
Windows 2000 comes with a fax service. You can use this
fax service with PC Access® to fax listings from your computer
to a fax machine or another computer.
Before you can fax listings from PC Access, you need to add
Microsoft Fax to the list of available printers in PC Access.
For instructions, see: Set up Microsoft Fax in PC Access.
- From the PC Access for Windows Main Menu
window, click Setup Menu | Advanced |
Printers.
- On the Printer Setup window, click
Add.
- On the Add Printer window, type
Microsoft Fax in the Name field.
- From the Printer drop-down
list, select Microsoft Fax.
The Printer drop-down list contains
a list of all of the printer and fax drivers you installed in Windows.
Select Microsoft Fax from this list.
- After you select Microsoft Fax from the Printers drop-down
list, click OK. Click Close on the
Printer Setup window and on the Advanced Setup
window.

- Use PC Access to connect to your MLS system.
- When your MLS system displays a prompt asking you to print, you need
select Microsoft Fax. To select
Microsoft Fax, click Printing |
Select Printer from the toolbar.
- PC Access displays the Select Printer window. From this
window, select Microsoft Fax and click
OK. PC Access displays
the name of your Fax in the lower right corner of the Terminal window.
PC Access will use the printer you select on the Select Printer
window for this MLS session only. The next time you use PC Access, it assumes you
want to use your Default Printer.
- Note: if you do not see the Microsoft Fax
on the Select Printer window, you need to add the
Microsoft Fax driver to the list of printers in PC Access. For more
information, see: Set up Fax in PC Access.
- To send your report or listings via Microsoft Fax, answer
Y to your MLS system's Print prompt.
- Note: when you selected Microsoft Fax
from the Select Printer window, PC Access will
fax anything you want to print. If you want PC Access to print your
listings or reports, you can select your printer from the
Select Printer window.
- On the Windows Print window select Fax from
the drop-down list and click OK. This opens the
Windows 2000 Send Fax Wizard window.
- On the Windows 2000 Send Fax Wizard window,
click Next.
- Complete the fields on the Recipient and Dialing Information
window. Click Next.
- If you want to include a cover page, check Include a cover page.
Click Next.
- You can check the Now
radio button to fax your listings or report now. If you do not want to
send your fax now, select one of the other radio buttons to determine when
Microsoft Fax sends your fax. Click Next.
- Click Finish to send your fax.
