[Introduction] [How to Correct an Invalid PCAWinPath in a Broker or Agent Version] [How to Correct an Invalid PCAWinPath in a Network Version]

Introduction

If your Broker, Agent, or Network Version has an invalid entry in the [Setup] section of your PCAWIN.INI file, you may see the following error message when you start PC Access:
The PCAWinPath entry in PCAWIN.INI contains a path that may not exist.
The above error message can occur when any one of the following are true:
  • You moved your PC Access executable directory from one hard drive to another.
  • You initially installed PC Access to the C:\PCAWIN directory and backed up your setup files to disk 1. Then you installed PC Access to a different directory, such as C:\PCAWINNEW on another computer.
  • If you are using a Network version, your PCAWinPath does not point to the PC Access executable directory on the server.
