Introduction
In later Builds of PC Access® for Windows versions 4.20 and 4.30, MFM changed
the format of the PC Access Phone Book file (PCAWIN.PBK).
If either one of the following conditions are true:
- you are using PC Access 4.30, and you reinstalled an earlier Build of
PC Access to a computer that you previously updated to 4.30.158.
- you are using PC Access 4.20, and you reinstalled an earlier Build of
PC Access to a computer that you previously updated to 4.30.134.
You may see the following error:
Phonebook File Version Mismatch!
Your phonebook is version 20b and this program can only
read up to version 20a.
Phonebook file not loaded!

PC Access 4.30 Users
- Exit PC Access for Windows.
- Re-install the PC Access 4.30.158 update.
- Note: When you re-install the PC Access 4.30.158 update,
the update process automatically updates your Phone Book File.
- Note: If you no longer have the Build 158 update, use
the Update Wizard to download
the Build 158 update.
PC Access 4.20 Users
- Exit PC Access for Windows.
- Re-install the PC Access 4.20.134 update.
- Note: When you re-install the PC Access 4.20.134 update,
the update process automatically updates your Phone Book File.
- Note: If you no longer have the Build 134 update, use
the Update Wizard to download
the Build 134 update.
