The User Authorization 1001-0022-1000 and 1000-0001-0001
errors can occur in PC Access
versions 4.10,
4.20, and
4.30.
The User Authorization 1001-0022-1000 error can occur when:
- You restored or copied a PC Access
License File
(PCAWIN.LIC)
from one
version of PC Access to a computer using another version of PC Access.
The User Authorization 1000-0001-0000 error can occur when:
- You installed a full version of PC Access (not an
upgrade)
to a computer that had a copy of PC Access already installed.
If either of the above are true, you may see one of the following error messages:
- User Authorization Error: 1000-0001-0001
PC Access serial number does not match registered serial number
- User Authorization Error: 1001-0022-1000
Invalid License File
To correct either one of the above errors:
Windows 95 or 98 users:
- Click Start |
Programs |
MS-DOS Prompt.
Windows NT 4.0 users:
- Click Start |
Programs |
Command Prompt.
- Insert your PC Access Disk 1
into your diskette drive.
- In the MS-DOS window type the following commands:
- Note: The commands below assume:
- Your PC Access
executable directory is C:\PCAWIN
- Your 3.5" diskette drive is
A:\
CD \PCAWIN
DEL PCAWIN.LIC
DEL PCAW410.EKB
DEL A:\PCAWIN.LIC
The following files may not exist on your computer or your PC Access
Disk 1.
If your computer responds with File not found
after you typed one of the commands below, try typing the command again.
If your computer continues to respond with
File not found, continue with the next
file.
CD \PCAWIN
DEL PCAWIN.LI!
DEL A:\PCAWIN.LI!
DEL A:\BACKUP\PCAWIN.LIC
DEL A:\BACKUP\PCAWIN.LI!
EXIT
- Click Start | Programs |
PC Access for Windows | User Auth Manager.
- In the
User Authorization Manager window, click Install.
- Make sure your PC Access Disk 1
is in your diskette drive. Click OK
to continue.
- The User Auth Manager
will detect any previously installed User Authorizations. The
User Auth Manager will display the
following message:
I have detected some previously installed User Authorizations that are backed up on
this Disk #1.
Would you like to see if any of them were created on this PC? Click "No"
if you know this is the first time you're installing on this PC.
- Click Yes to restore your User Authorization.
- Note: This will restore the User Authorization from
the
EKB_BKUP
directory on Disk 1
to the PC Access
executable directory on your hard drive.
- Click Yes to run PC Access for Windows.
- Complete the information on the
Register PC Access for Windows window.
When you finish, click OK. Follow
the instructions on your screen to back up your registration information.
- From the PC Access Main Menu, click Exit.
- Click Start |

PC Access for Windows | Back Up PCAWin Setup.
- On the
Back Up PCAWin Setup Files window, click Back Up.
- Note: PC Access saves the setup files to the
BACKUP directory
on Disk 1.
Windows 95 or 98 users:
- Click Start |
Programs |

Windows NT 4.0 users:
- Click Start |
Programs |
Command Prompt.

- Click Start | Programs |
PC Access for Windows | User Auth Manager.
- In the
User Authorization Manager window, click Install.
- Make sure your PC Access
Disk 1 is in your diskette drive. Click OK
to continue.
- The User Auth Manager may display the following message:
The PC Access configuration file are already installed.
Do you want to re-install the original configuration files?
Click Yes to re-install the original configuration files.
Click No to install only the User Authorization.
click No.
- The
User Auth Manager
will detect any previously installed User Authorizations. The
User Auth Manager will display the
following message:
I have detected some previously installed User Authorizations that are backed up on
this Disk #1.

if you know this is the first time you're installing on this PC.
- Click Yes to restore your User Authorization.
